November 3, 2026 Absentee Voting Information: VOTING BY ABSENTEE BALLOT General Election November 3, 2026   VILLAGE OF WALES                      VILLAGE OF DOUSMAN                TOWN OF OTTAWA  Any qualified elector who is unable or unwilling to appear at the polling place on election day may request to vote an absentee ballot.  A qualified elector is any U.S. citizen, who will be 18 years of age or older on election day, and has resided in the ward or municipality where he or she wishes to vote for at least 28 days before the election.  The elector must also be registered in order to receive an absentee ballot.  Photo ID must be provided before an absentee ballot may be issued.  TO OBTAIN AN ABSENTEE BALLOT YOU MUST MAKE A REQUEST IN WRITING. Contact your municipal clerk and request that an application for an absentee ballot be sent to you.  You may also request an absentee ballot by letter.  Your written request must list your voting address within the municipality where you wish to vote, the address where the absentee ballot should be sent, if different, and a copy of Photo ID.  You may make an application for an absentee ballot by mail-in person or at myvote.wi.gov. Special absentee voting application provisions apply to electors who are indefinitely confined to home or care facility, in the military, hospitalized, or serving as a sequestered juror.  If this applies to you, contact the municipal clerk. LOCATION AND HOURS OF POLLING PLACE

November 3, 2026

At the Partisan Primary Election to be held on Tuesday, November 3, 2026, in the Village of Dousman, the following polling place location will be used for the wards indicated: Municipal Building, 118 S. Main Street Dousman, WI 53118, Wards 1 – 7.

The polling place will be open at 7:00 a.m. and will close at 8:00 p.m. If you have any questions concerning your polling place, contact the clerk: John Roth, 118 S. Main Street, Dousman, WI 53118, 262-965-3792

The polling place is accessible to elderly and disabled voters.  Qualified residents who are not registered to vote in the Village of Dousman may do so at the polls on election days.

Notice of Meeting of the Local and Municipal Board of Canvassers

At the close of voting on Election Day, pursuant to the provisions of Wis. Stat. § 19.84, the Election Inspectors will convene as a joint meeting of the Local Board of Canvassers and the Municipal Board of Canvassers for the purpose of conducting the local and municipal canvasses pursuant to Wis. Stat. §§7.51 and 7.53(1). This meeting will be open to the public pursuant to Wis. Stat. §§ 19.8189. 

 

Notice of Meeting of MBOC to Process Rehabilitated Provisional Ballots

If provisional ballots have been issued and are subsequently cured by the voter before 4:00 p.m. on the Friday after the election, the MBOC must meet no later than the following Monday at 9:00 a.m. to process the cured provisional ballots.  This is a public meeting and requires applicable notice.
